Confidence was high after a dominant first win over Richmond the previous week. Maybe too high, as Wembley slumped to 18-3 early doors after being put into bat by Brentham, but a mixture of elegance and brut force led an amazing recover to post an incredible total of 352-7.
A batting masterclass from D Norotomo provided the anchor of the innings (109n.o). Backed up by the power hitting of R.Bhat (66) and C.Blue (75) led Wembley to a intimidating total of 352-7, one which Brentham never looked like getting close to. Solid bowling spells from our bowlers kept Brentham well away from the rate required to win or to acquire any bonus points. The bowling figures of the Match went to M.Patel
11-2-48-3.
With Brentham not getting near the total it allowed the captain to experiment with his bowling attack. Including an over from Bowler Hardik to Batsman Lovecock. ;)
Another strong performance from Wembley 3rd's to make it 2 from 2. Kenton next week.
