Wembley CC - 3rd XI bounced back in emphatic fashion with a dominant 108-run victory over Middlesex Titans Sports & Social Club - 3rd XI in their Middlesex County Cricket League Division Two clash on Saturday, 16 May 2026. A magnificent century from Vinay Dias and a disciplined team bowling performance secured Wembley’s first win of the campaign.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Wembley suffered the worst possible start when captain and wicketkeeper Vinoj Cardoza was dismissed for a duck in only the second ball of the innings, caught behind off the bowling of Rushit Barot.

Despite the early setback, Wembley rebuilt steadily through Regis Jayaraj, who played an important stabilising innings of 36 from 38 deliveries, striking five boundaries. Regis combined with Mehul Thakrar and later Vani Anban to settle the innings after the early pressure from Middlesex Titans.

The turning point of the innings came with the arrival of Vinay Dias at the crease.
