Perivale Phoenicians CC - 3rd XI delivered a dominant all-round performance to defeat Wembley CC - 3rd XI by 199 runs in their Middlesex County Cricket League Division Two fixture on Saturday, 30 May 2026. A brilliant century from Waqar Haider laid the foundation for a formidable total of 316-6 before Wembley were dismissed for 117 in reply.

Waqar Haider Leads Perivale Charge

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Perivale Phoenicians made a solid start through captain Muhammad Saqib and wicketkeeper-batter Waqar Haider. The pair added 108 for the opening wicket, providing the perfect platform for a big score.

Although Rudra Thakur eventually broke the partnership by dismissing Saqib for 17, Waqar continued to dominate the Wembley attack with a magnificent innings of 133 from just 97 balls.
